2026 COMMITTEE

Introducing our 2026 Committee! They work tirelessly to bring you the best trips, events and club atmosphere on campus! And we promise they’re very friendly so wave hello if you see them around!

Thomas Lukies - PRESIDENT

Standing at a casual 7ft our president is an absolute weapon on the slopes and a certified liability at the bar. Previously the club's beloved treasurer, Lukies has now ascended to presidential glory, leading MUSKI with equal parts charisma, chaos and an unwavering belief that MUSKI members are drinkers with a skiing problem. He skis like a man possessed, tearing down double blacks with the confidence of someone who has never felt fear, making every run look effortless. Off skis, he treats après like an Olympic sport, with drinking habits that would make any first-year question both their tolerance and their life choices. Despite his towering stature and questionable commitment to hydration, he's genuinely the most kind hearted and sincere person in the club, always down for a chat, dance or a bevvy. In short, he's the glue holding this wonderfully unhinged ski family together.

Kyran Hagens - TREASURER

Introducing Kyran, last year’s late-season committee recruit who helped keep Hire running smoothly, now promoted to the high-stakes world of MUSKI finances. He’s traded tuning gear for spreadsheets and edging for… hopefully not cooking the books, but if anyone can make numbers look sexy, it’s this man. Hailing from the town of Bright, Kyran grew up just a (relatively) short drive from the slopes and learned to ski early before tragically defecting to the dark side and becoming a snowboarder. Despite this brief lapse in judgement, we’ve forgiven him, mostly because he’s about to be an absolute freak in the (spread)sheets and keep the club’s funds in immaculate shape. Plus, Kyran more than makes up for his sins by being an all-round gem on and off the mountain. When he’s not keeping MUSKI’s coffers in line, Kyran can be found expanding his sick vinyl collection, working behind the bar at KICKS or grinding away at his teaching degree. We’re stoked to have him steering MUSKI’s financial ship, balancing skis, seshes and spreadsheets like an absolute weapon.

James Sutherland - SECRETARY

James “Sutho” Sutherland has repped MUSKi longer than most. From ski hire to trips, he has worked his way through the ranks and earned the title of secretary for 2026! This Scotsman knows his way around the powder, skiing all over Australia, Japan and Canada. You want to go off piste? Boy does he have a slope for you. There’s only a few things he knows better than the snow and that’s football players and the right tunes to get the whole room bouncing. Between his love of Scott McTominay and super John McGinn, he’s always up for a cheeky bevvy and a good ol’ yap. Sutho has led some of MUSKI’s best trips such as Perisher last year and Hotham Week B the year before. He’s a man who is outgoing 100% of the time, and is ready to leave his mark on MUSKI as our wonderful secretary, making 2026 one of the best seasons yet.

Fane Ye - trips COORDINATOR

Meet Fane Ye, our resident code-slinging, ski-sending wizard who somehow balances a full Computer Science degree (don’t worry, we’ll make sure he showers) with carve lines cleaner than his code. A proud tech wizard (NERD ) and one of 2026’s legendary Trips Coordinators, you can bet he’s already written three algorithms to calculate the perfect ratio of skiing, partying, drinking, and absolutely questionable decisions to deliver the best trips of the season. Fresh off years of academic overachievement (bro is Unc) and terminally online behaviour, Fane’s bringing the efficiency of a well-optimised system to every slope we hit. Need transport? Sorted. Need schedules? Generated. Need drinks? Fane’s face is already red. Whether he’s writing lines of code or leaving lines down the slopes, this man does not mess around. Expect trips so well-planned they practically execute themselves, combine that with nights chaotic enough to balance out all our academic-induced trauma, consider us lucky to have Fane in charge of trips.

Madison Ross - TRIPS COORDINATOR

Madi is one of MUSKI’s greatest beginner stories of the past two years… from a complete newbie to conquering blacks and blues around Hotham - in style no less! Madi is always rearing to have a crack at whatever you throw her way and will give everything her best effort. Hailing from the leafy suburb of Eltham, Madi is a committed member of MUSKI and is a great addition to the trips team this year. You will catch her up a mountain for most of winter and will be out on the slopes in rain, snow or shine! Her epic pass will perhaps be used more than her credit card this winter!! Aside from skiing, Madi is a lover of Apreś and is devoted to having a good time … all the time (on and off the slopes). She is great fun and a lovely person so be sure to say hi!

Daniel Coley - racing trips coordinator

What truly can be said about Dan that hasn't been said before? A man of many talents, Dan takes over the responsibility of Racing Rep for the 2026 Committee, committed wholeheartedly to the utter domination of inferior unis at IV's, both on and off the slopes. After surrendering the crown for a couple of years, you can be sure that Unimelb are coming back with a vengeance under Dan’s guidance! Having learnt the ropes trip leading twice in 2026 – Hotham Week B and the infamous Falls Half B, the step-up to committee was a natural one. A true shredder, who lives and breathes fresh pow, ice cold beers, and first tracks, Dan’s infectious energy sparks a sesh wherever he goes – VIC IV’s 2026 will be one to be sure not to miss with our official speed king at the helm

ROb Larcher - Hire Coordinator

Goon bag in hand, Arc’teryx beanie on head, introducing Rob Larcher, part of your Ski Hire team for 2026! Previously the MUSKI merch designer, his sense of fashion is much like his ski form: immaculate. Rob shreds on the slopes, from Whistler to Hotham, but if you return your MUSKI hire skis back shredded, he’ll treat you much like a cold pint after a long ski day: with no mercy. Rob may be partial to some après ski action, but don’t let that fool you, Rob is equally as capable managing ski hire logistics as he is beer skulling logistics! Buckle in for another great year of beer buddy posts with Rob making the exact. same. face… But more importantly, prepare for a stylish, suave and skillful 2026 MUSKI ski hire experience!!

Rionoch Goodwin - Hire Coordinator

Please welcome Rionoch, MUSKI’s newest ski hire specialist who has somehow managed to conquer both ice rinks and ski resorts. Fully committed to frozen environments and an ever-growing collection of snow gear, she’s most at home anywhere with ice, snow, and questionable weather. When she’s not cruising down a ski run, you’ll probably find her behind the wheel of a Zamboni. Fresh off a season in Canada, Ri is the perfect addition to ski hire, already fitting skates with the kind of confidence and efficiency that makes the rest of us look unprepared, so sorting your ski boots will be no trouble at all. An art curator at heart, her adventures may or may not include one infamous night where a painting from a popular pub mysteriously ended up in her possession. Whether she stole it or rescued it remains unclear. She loves a good night out and never turns down a drink, so expect big vibes, good company, and lots of energy.

Jade O Collaghan - hire coordinator

Jade O’Callaghan will have MUSKI’s ski hire fleet in tip-top shape for season 2026, after mastering the art of ski tuning in the infamous Japanese ski fields. Despite skiing all over the world, the chairlifts at Falls Creek still seem to hold a personal vendetta against her - but she takes every wipe-out in stride. A certified good-times enthusiast, Jade brings the same energy to après drinks as she does to first tracks. When she’s not carving turns or leading the charge to the pub, you’ll probably find her underwater, exploring shipwrecks, reefs, and anything else that crosses her path while scuba diving. She’s the kind of person who can hype up a room just by walking into it, and her contagious energy makes everyone feel part of the crew. Whether she’s fixing skis, sending it down a run, or rallying the squad for a night out, Jade is the hype-woman you always want around.

Edie Whitehead - social officer

MUSKI’s favourite socialite Edie Whitehead is leading the charge for MUSKI’s social events in 2026. Nobody embraces the party life as much as Edie. Until it hits 11 … then it’s time for bed. Always keen to show off her impressive style on the slopes (with video evidence) she backs it up with the most fun and creative costumes off it. Edie is also the self proclaimed best pasta chef in the world. Just don’t ask her to prove it as nobody has ever seen her cook her “world famous” carbonara. We’re lucky to have this overly talkative, super friendly, Mancunian on board to create the best and loosest parties MUSKI has to offer. One can only hope her newfound responsibility will keep her from ditching events early, but no promises.

Michael Xiao - social officer

Michael Michael Michael. What can we say that does this absolute specimen justice? Michael may be the most enigmatic member of our committee this year so if you don't know him, here are some funky stats in order to get to know him better.

- He makes up 50% of our committee's snowboarders

- 50% likely to buy you a beer at the bar if you ask really nicely (yet to be successful on this one but unless you try, you won’t succeed)

- Also 50% likely to get peer pressured into doing whatever fiendish thing you can make up and twice as likely to peer pressure you into something equally devilish

- Itching to pull out The Worm at any time (you should ask him to do it)

- He is 90% certain to make you laugh by raising his voice in a comedic and intense way

- 100% a good boy

- Drippy af

Saskia Cross - sponsorship, Merchandise & Marketing officer + Welfare Officer

Please welcome Saskia Cross as our Sponsorship, Merchandise, Marketing plus welfare Officer, because clearly one role just wasn’t enough. Saskia was nominated for the welfare Officer position thanks to her experience handling difficult and sensitive matters in her past jobs, bringing a calm, professional, and genuinely caring approach to the role. At the same time, she perfectly embodies MUSKI values of ski, party, and love. She’s always down for a drink, a dance, or an unexpected side quest, and somehow balances fun with responsibility without missing a beat. On snow, Saskia is a fearless and talented skier who stands out just as much for her ability as for her iconic red hair. Rumour has it the ginger gene fuels her fiery work ethic, confidence, and uncanny ability to be spotted instantly in any crowd. A vital part of the team, and living proof that gingers do have more fun.
